Andrew McKinney (Republican Party) is running for election to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 46. He is on the ballot in the Republican primary on August 9, 2022. Andrew is the only Republican candidate running for State Assembly to represent District 46.
McKinney also ran for election to the Dane County Board of Supervisors to represent District 36 in Wisconsin. He lost in the general election on April 5, 2022.

Andrew grew up in Gary, Indiana and moved to Madison, Wisconsin to finish his last two years of high school at Madison East. Andrew served our great nation on active duty in the U.S. Army. After a successful military career, Andrew obtained a BA of Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Education-Counseling, both from Concordia University, Madison, Wisconsin.
Using his educational background Andrew ran a successful business, worked in the private and public sector before entering public service as Monona Grove school board president.
Andrew currently resides in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin with his wife, Rhoda McKinney, of 19 years and six children. Andrew has deep roots in the Wisconsin community, and has long been dedicated to serving it. Among Andrew’s commitments he has been very active with several political organizations in Dane County.
Andrew currently serves as a two-time president and two-time vice-president of the Monona Grove School Board as well as serving as the junior vice commander of the VFW Post 7591 in Madison. Andrew’s commitment to community service runs deep within Wisconsin as Andrew has served on the Dane County Credit Union Board along with leadership roles on other community committees for the betterment of the people of Wisconsin.
Andrew is not a politician, he is a change-maker. Andrew will bring people together to solve issues and he will do the same.
